Hospice Care

What is Hospice Care?

Hospice care is a form of health care that focuses on the palliation of a terminally ill patient's pain and symptoms by attending to the patient's emotional and spiritual needs at the end of life. This involves prioritizing care, comfort, and quality of life by reducing pain and suffering. One thing to note is that Hospice Care professionals do not cure the patient's illnesses but rather focus on supporting the patient and family by treating their symptoms and reducing complications of the disease.
